Aviation Innovation Centre at Goodwood Aerodrome
Located just 1.5 hours from London, Heathrow and Gatwick, near Chichester, providing rural airspace for flights.
The tower is manned by professional Flight Information Service Officers. Electronic Conspicuity (EC) tracking is available using the tower's CAA approved Flight Information Display (FID) capability.
The ability to track airborne objects with high precision using the Specialised Imaging Lightweight Optical Motion Analysis System (LOMA). A range of optical and infra-red cameras is available, including high-speed imaging capability.
The entire 'airside' of the aerodrome is available as a controlled ground area, particularly well suited to the testing and demonstration of aircraft and equipment. A dedicated RFFS station on the aerodrome is available as a backup in case of emergencies.
A selection of 'off-aerodrome' sites within the segregated airspace area is available to facilitate operations such as drone delivery trials. All have the necessary landowner permissions in place and have been selected to allow for a range of mission distances and terrain types.
Goodwood has three grass runways ensuring a wide range of options according to daily conditions. The main runway is 1295m long and the aerodrome is an overall grass surface.
Part or full hangar space is available for both short or long term projects.
A range of office space and meeting rooms are available, including facilities in the recently completed aerodrome terminal.
Goodwood is renowned for hosting both corporate events and large scale public festivals, with access to the new terminal building and catering facilities among the options available.
The Goodwood Hotel, spa and golf course are within a few minutes' drive and offer preferential rates to Innovation Centre customers.
